Adult Learn to Ride (ALR)

This practical hands-on learn to ride class for adults age 18 and up will get you rolling in no time.

Our certified bicycle instructors create a fun low-stress environment to help you learn the basics of balancing and pedaling before moving on to more advanced skills. If you already know how to balance and pedal we can adapt the curriculum to your individual skill level. We provide a bicycle and helmet, all you need is a willing attitude. This class is sponsored by the Santa Monica Bike Center, which allows us to charge participants a nominal $20 registration fee that is collected after you sign up via our website.

Starting and stopping
Balancing, pedaling and steering

Classes take place on select Sundays from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM & 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Class Updates

Face masks are optional during classes
8 students and 1-2 instructors per session
Classes may be rescheduled or postponed again for emergencies or if student minimum is not met
No refunds if cancelling or rescheduling your registration 72 hours prior to class time
