Become certified to teach students K-8 bicycle skills and safety tips. This training will use the League of American Bicyclist’s Bicycle Skills 123 Clinic curriculum enhanced with Cycling Games curriculum from the Danish Cycling Embassy that make learning bicycle skills fun and engaging for younger students. This workshop will be co-taught by the Danish Cycling Embassy Instructor. Upon completion of this training you will be qualified to organize and administer children’s bicycle rodeos and other youth bicycle education classes.

The training will include 2.5 hours of classroom instruction in the morning, lunch, and then 2.5 hours of hands-on experience setting up and operating a bike rodeo with children. This event is being offered in cooperation with C-U Safe Routes to School Project and the Stephens Family YMCA. 

Attendees will be riding bicycles as part of this training and can bring their own bikes and helmets or borrow needed equipment. Helmet use is mandatory. If you need to borrow a bike or helmet please let us know.
